The numbers we are concerned with currently are 7, 5, & 70.  Their significance you ask?  We are currently 7 days away from the start of the collector car auction season in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. We are proud to have 5 premier auction venues happening in Scottsdale over the next few weeks.  70 represents the averarge day time high temperature which guarantees all sellers, buyers and enthusiasts a fantastic auction experience.  Sports & Collector Car Center is immersed in every phase of the upcoming events.  We are your Arizona collector car auction source. Whether buying, selling, repairing, preparing or just interested in knowing more.  Let us assist you!

Introducing Our European Services Division

Joe Ritz | October 1st, 2011 | No Comments

By popular demand (and a definite need) Sports & Collector Car Center is proud to announce the addition of our new ‘European Services Division‘.

The special interest car market has always been international.  But now more than ever, European car enthusiasts are partaking in the purchasing of fine & special interest cars being offered here in the States.  We previously entertained our European friends annually, during the magnificent collector car auctions that are held in Scottsdale, every January.  But their interest has shifted from once a year to year-round.  At Sports & Collector Car Center, we are proud to have been involved in the past, but are excited about our new dedication and efforts for the future.  We are the perfect fit for our friends ‘across the pond’.  Our long standing reputation, product knowledge and expertise provides Europe with an industry partner, here in Arizona, the heart of the collector car market.

We are staffed and prepared to faciltate:

  • Vehicle inspection & assessment (Eliminate the unknowns.)
  • Transportation (We have partnered with the top logistics companies in both Long Beach, California and Houston, Texas for overseas shipping.)
  • Vehicle locating and procurement (Looking for a certain vehicle?  Let us assist you.  We have a large database of vehicles and unlimited locating resources.)
  • Secure vehicle storage at our facility, prior to shipping
  • Full collector car auction services (If for some reason you cannot attend the magnificent Scottsdale auctions, let us be your eyes and ears. Eliminate the risk and guess work.)

We look forward to working with you.

Do The Math Mondays #7

Lately, we have all heard the television and radio ads promoting “price matching”. It appears that many companies nowadays, can save you anywhere from 5 – 10% off the lowest advertised price you can find, no matter what that price may be. Sounds pretty amazing.

What we don’t hear is companies offering “value matching”.

We here at Sports & Collector Car Center, although ever mindful of price, strive to promote and deliver value. Just like the quick lube stores, we want to change your oil & filter and top off all your fluids. But what we also do is tell you why your fluids are low and what it takes to correct the real problem. Like the popular tire retailers, we would love to replace your worn out tires. But unlike the tire retailers, we go one step further and are able to address steering, suspension and alignment issues that might be affecting/causing premature tire wear.

At the end of the day, price is very important, but it’s second only to value. Do the math.

Do The Math Mondays #6

In this current economy, we are all paying close attention to numbers. We at Sports & Collector Car Center look at numbers different than most. When most companies are not hiring or are laying people off, we on the other hand have added to our staff.

Recently, I have experienced a decline in customer service and a reduction in inventories from several of our vendors. I’ve been told this is due to the slow economy and that they need to scale back expenses. Our thoughts are that now, more than ever, we need to maximize our customer service and take the best possible care of our clients.

So the first number that we are dealing with this “Do the Math Monday” is 1. This 1 represents the addition of our newest employee, Tyler. He is available to shuttle customers to their home or office, pick up and deliver vehicles, keep the shop looking sharp and chase after needed parts to help us repair & service our customers cars expeditiously.

The second number is 110. We are focused on delivering to our clients 110%, rather than scaling back. At the end of the day, we all win with numbers like these.

Just do the math.

Our lives are filled with numbers.  Phone numbers, account numbers, PIN numbers and many more.  These are all extremely necessary, but rather boring.
Well here are a list of numbers that mean something, not only to us here at Sports & Collector Car Center, but to several discerning car owners, as well as a host of British car fans and enthusiasts:

March 13, 2011 (The date of this years all British car show / Phoenix, AZ)
1st place – 1961 Morgan Roadster
Owned by Scott Morrisson, a Sports & Collector Car Center client

1st place – 1967 Classic Mini
Owned by Tom Innes, a Sports & Collector Car Center client  and a founding member and cup holder of our Thursday morning think tank

1st place – 1959 AC Ace
Also owned by Tom Innes

2nd place – 1968 Morgan Plus 4
Owned by Ron Blair, a Sports & Collector Car Center regular

We enjoyed a day of British cars and accolades, as the cars we are fortunate enough to be involved with, proved to be crowd favorites.  Spending a day with friends, displaying their cars, showcasing our expertise and craftmanship. Now these are some great and meaningful numbers for all to enjoy.  Do the math.
